Hi, I'm Erin — the florist behind Fever Dream Florals.

Fever Dream started in a bouquet-making class I signed up for during maternity leave from a corporate tech job. I went in expecting a chill afternoon. I walked out with a finished arrangement, way too many new opinions about colour, and the inconvenient realization that the part of my brain that lit up at a colour palette had been quietly bored for the previous decade. I rearranged that bouquet on my kitchen counter for a solid week before letting myself say it out loud.

What people don't tell you about flowers is how sensory the job is. There's the colour problem — what reads warm at candlelight, what pops against linen — and the shape problem, and the smell of the studio in the morning, and the genuinely irrational delight of an arrangement that's still looking good four days later. The pieces I'm proudest of always have one element that's a little surprised to be there: a tall nerine, a funky bloom poking out where it shouldn't, the modern spin that keeps a centrepiece from being, well, polite.

Fever Dream is designer-led, which is a tidy way of saying: you bring me a vibe (colours, references, the mood of the night) and trust me to pick the stems. I work best with events that get to be playful and repeatable — dinner parties, baby showers, engagement parties, corporate gatherings, and weekly arrangements for restaurants and cafes. I drop off finished pieces rather than running on-site setups. And I don't do weddings — not because they're not beautiful, but because they're a full-weekend production, and weekends are for my kid.

When I'm not making florals, I'm with my toddler and my husband, getting after every park, beach, and bakery this city has on offer.
